  1. Since your using the basic smoke alarm, you have to make the benefits feel more than basic. No one wants 'basic' protection. So the challenge is to say that First Alert's basic is more than enough to keep you safe. Here's a spin on your copy:

Even our Basic Smoke Alarm provides full protection.

The First Alert battery-powered smoke alarm provides reliable protection from smoke and fire. It's never been easier to protect yourself, your family and your belongings.

Keep small mistakes small with alarm features that include:

    • Ionization Smoke Sensor: Detects even the smallest smoke particles
    • Smoke Alarm Test Button: Tests alarm functions in one step
    • EZ Access Battery Drawer: Makes is simple to change batteries

Remember: For maximum protection, change your alarm every ten years.
(Basic Smoke Alarm is covered by a 10-year limited warranty)

  3. As far as art direction goes, the font of your mailer is so graphic and bold. Can you make this side feel just as interesting - possibly with icons or colors?

Since everyone knows what a smoke alarm looks like (and since it's the basic model) you may be able to get around showing it.

Brainstorm ways to tie this side in closer with the big idea of keeping small mistakes small.

Emphasize the CTA / offer area more.
